Eight foreign carmakers and importers of foreign cars will voluntarily recall over 20,000 vehicles to repair faulty components, the Transport Ministry said on April 18.

This is the latest in a series of recall plans for local and foreign carmakers and importers of foreign vehicles.

Jaguar, Forza Motors Korea that imports Ferrari sports cars, Toyota Motors, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Hanbul Motors that imports Peugeot vehicles plan to recall 35 models reaching 20,529 units, the ministry said in a statement.

The problems include a faulty inflator of air bag modules in the driver’s seat in the Jaguar XE sedan, the same faulty component in the Ferrari California,  imported by FMK and faulty run flat tires in the Lexus LS500h all-wheel-drive sedan, the statement said.
