Among other features, it automatically finds optimal sound based on its environment, utilizing gyro sensors that gauge the position of the product, and helps adjust the direction of sound.
The speaker lineup, which also include SL8 and SL10, was developed jointly with Meridian Audio, a British high-resolution audio system maker.
The speakers are fitted with Meridian’s Bass & Space technology, which improves the soundstage and envelops listeners in rich, uncompromising sound and strong bass, according to the Korean tech firm.
The high-end sound bars also support both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, which can help users enjoy breathtaking surround sound.
In addition to superior sound, the Google Assistant feature will allow users to play music with voice commands, ask for song information and check their daily schedule.
“With the new sound bars, which intensify their convenience with smart AI connectivity as well as high-quality sound, we are set to target the premium audio market,” said Kim Dae-chul, head of LG’s home entertainment division.
