[EQUITIES] ‘LG Uplus to rally from LTE, IPTV growth’

[THE INVESTOR] LG Uplus is flourishing not only in LTE sector but also in IPTV and internet areas, said Daishin Securities on Dec. 5 maintaining a “buy” recommendation and 20,000 won (US$17.99) target price. 




As 5G technology gains ground, it is showing the best results in the core sectors which contribute 40 percent of its revenue. Its telecom market share has gained 5.13 percent point since the introduction of LTE as also the average revenue per user, said analyst Kim Hoi-jae.

Its market share in IPTV in the third quarter has grown to 23.9 percent as of third quarter and when it succeeds in acquiring CJ Hello it will secure 8 million subscribers and 24.4 percent market share. Its operating profit in 2019 will top 1 trillion won, according to the analyst.
