[THE INVESTOR] Upbit, one of Korea’s largest crypto currency exchanges, said on Oct. 30 its recent Upbit Developer Conference materials will be open to the public to share more information with other developers who could not join the two-day event held in September.

The exchange operator Dunamu held its first developer day event in Jeju Island, the southernmost Korean resort island, on Sept. 13-14. More than 800 industry experts and developers participated in the event to explore the potential of blockchain technology and its wider adoption across industries.

Key speakers included Dunamu’s founder and Chairman Song Chi-hyung, Ontology founder Li Jun, Kakao’s blockchain unit Ground X CEO Jason Han and Bittrex co-founder and CEO Bill Shihara. Dunamu’s research unit Lamda256 also unveiled a more useful and easier blockchain developer tool, called Luniverse, during the event.

Upbit said it has decided to share all the photos and speech materials with the public so that they have a better understanding of the burgeoning blockchain industry and its commercial potential. All the materials, including a special wrap-up report, are available on the official website www.udc.upbit.com/2018/

“Even though it’s more than a month since the event ended, we are still receiving inquiries about the program and speech materials. We have decided to share all the contents free of charge,” Dunamu CEO Lee Sir-goo said.

In the meantime, Dunamu said it plans to launch its first overseas crypto exchange in Singapore in the coming weeks, paving the way for it to go global.
