[THE INVESTOR] LG Electronics said on Aug. 21 it will showcase two new versions of its popular Tone Plus Bluetooth headset at the upcoming Internationale Funkausstellung exhibition in Germany.
The company said it will introduce the HBS-2000 and the HBS-835S at the tech fair slated for later this month.
LG said the HBS-2000 comes with an exclusive button that connects to the Google Assistant voice recognition system, allowing users to enjoy artificial intelligence features without having to take out their smartphones.
The new headset employs what the company calls its hybrid speaker, which is composed of two units, delivering realistic sounds from high- to low-pitch tones.
The HBS-2000 will hit shelves at end-August in Korea and reach other countries down the road. The price tag here is 219,000 won (US$195).
LG will also display the HBS-835S, which comes with an external speaker that allows users to make phone calls or play music without putting the device in their ears.
