Samsung SDS said May 8 it will expand partnerships with major manufacturers to apply its latest IT platform to improve efficiency and safety in their factories.
The IT service unit under Samsung Electronics said it will utilize new technologies, such as artificial intelligence, big data, cloud and blockchain, to provide “intelligent factory” solutions for partners at home and abroad.
During Real 2019, an event for its partners, Samsung SDS showcased how its smart factory platform integrates its IT technology and manufacturing expertise to enhance the production, logistics, inspection and maintenance processes.
Last month, Samsung SDS was listed on the Top 50 Blockchain Companies by American business magazine Forbes, with its enterprise blockchain platform, Nexledger, applied in various fields, such as the finance, manufacturing, logistics and public sectors.
