Samsung Electronics said on March 7 its wireless earphones will hit store shelves in time for the launch of its new flagship smartphone, Galaxy S10.
The Galaxy Buds will be available when the Galaxy S10 is officially launched on March 8.
Samsung’s earbuds are seen as an answer to Apple’s AirPods, one of the most popular accessories by the US tech behemoth.
With a single charge, the earbuds play music up to six hours and connect phone calls for up to five hours.
Sound on Galaxy Buds is tuned by AKG, a well-known audio equipment manufacturer acquired by Samsung.
The earphones can be charged wirelessly by placing them inside their case on the back of Galaxy S10. The case in itself has a battery that can be used to charge the Buds without external power.
The product is priced at 159,500 won (US$141.50) in the local market. They come in black, white or yellow.
