[THE INVESTOR] GM Korea said on May 23 it will launch the upgraded Chevrolet Spark minicar next month to help revive sales.
The New Spark city car is the first model of 15 new and upgraded vehicles GM vowed to launch in the Korean market in the next five years as part of its commitment to bolster its operations.
GM Korea also plans to export the facelifted Spark with eight air bags and other safety features, such as forward collision alert, side blind spot alert, lane departure warning and low-speed collision mitigation braking systems. It is priced from 9.8 million won to 13 million won (US$9,100-$12,100) depending on options, the company said in a statement.
Other models to be introduced this year include the midsize Equinox SUV and the updated midsize Malibu sedan, it said.
