[THE INVESTOR] Korea’s largest business conglomerate Samsung stood as the most reputable company in India in 2018, an industry tracker said on April 18.
According to the Brand Trust Report 2018 compiled by Indian industry tracker TRA Research, Samsung ranked No. 1, with its smaller Korean brand LG also coming in at third place.
Japan-based Sony placed second in the brand order.
India’s largest business group, Tata Group, came in the fourth spot, with US tech giant Apple standing at fifth place, the report said.
Industry watchers said the result indicates Korean companies are tapping deeper into the India market, which has a population of more than 1.2 billion and various fast growing industries.
The survey was conducted on 2,450 respondents from 16 major cities in India.
