[THE INVESTOR] GM Korea has launched a diesel model of its midsize sedan Cruise and will start receiving preorders next week, the US-based carmaker said on Nov. 1.
The All New Cruise diesel model will feature the latest 1.6L CDTi diesel engine and a third-generation six-speed automatic transmission. The new model is also equipped with a maximum output of 134 horsepower and a maximum torque of 32.6 kg/m.

“Combined with high-performance, high-efficiency standard powertrain combination, the new Cruise diesel is expected to show performance comparable to that of German competitors,” said Hwang Joon-Ha, GM Korea’s managing director of powertrain engineering.
GM Korea will announce the price of its new model when it commences preorders on Nov. 6.
