BIOGRAPHY

Lim Sang-min is the younger daughter of Daesang Group Honorary Chairman Lim Chang-wook and Park Hyeon-ju, third daughter of Kumho Group founder Park In-chon.
After the honorary chairman and the eldest son of founder Lim Dae-hong retired in 1997, the food conglomerate is being managed by professional managers.
Lim is an executive director of strategies, food and materials units of the group. She joined the family business in 2009 as a deputy team manager after graduating from Ewha Womans University with history major and earnings an MBA at London Business School. She was promoted to her current post in December 2013.
She married Cook Eugene, an investment banker who worked at the New York headquarters of Blackstone Group in December 2015. He relocated to Hong Kong in November last year to be in charge of investments in Korea. Cook is the son of Cook Kyun, former executive partner at Ernst & Young Korea.
Lim’s older sister Se-ryung is an executive director of at marketing unit, having returned to the company in 2012 three years after getting divorced from Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong.
The younger sister is the largest stakeholder of the holding company Daesang Holdings.
